The Huawei Nova 12 and Huawei Nova 12 Pro are on sale for the first time today, with introductory prices of 2,999 yuan (about $324) and 3,999 yuan (about $564) respectively. Similarly to the Huawei Mate 60 series, the chips in the Nova 12 series have garnered significant consumer interest.
Nova 12:
- 8GB+256GB: 2,999 yuan (about $324)
- 8GB+512GB: 3,399 yuan (about $480)
Nova 12 Pro:
- 12GB+256GB: 3,999 yuan (about $564)
- 12GB+512GB: 4,399 yuan (about $621)
Reports indicate that both the Nova 12 and Nova 12 Pro will feature the Kirin 8000 chip for the first time. This launch marks the Kirin chip’s official comeback to the mid-range market.
In terms of color options, the Nova 12 Pro comes in four varieties: Color No. 12, Shining Gold Black, Sakura Pink, and Sakura White. The Nova 12, on the other hand, is available in three colors: Color No. 12, Shining Gold Black, and Sakura White. Both models boast a sleek design with plain leather embossing and feature a new, sophisticated star ring design for the rear lens.
The Huawei Nova 12 has a 6.7-inch straight screen with a 2412*1084 resolution. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate and 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming for eye protection. The front camera includes a 60-megapixel 4K ultra-wide-angle portrait lens, while the back features a 50-megapixel super-sensing main camera (RYYB) coupled with an 8-megapixel wide-angle macro dual camera.
Meanwhile, the Nova 12 Pro is equipped with a larger 6.78-inch 1.5K deep quad-curved screen, has a resolution of 2776*1224, and supports 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming. While its lens specifications mirror those of the standard version, the Pro model adds a second-generation physical variable aperture. For battery life, both models come with a 4600mAh battery and offer support for 100W fast charging.
