During the afternoon OnePlus new product launch event on January 4, OnePlus unveiled not only their latest smartphone, the OnePlus Ace 3 but also introduced the new OnePlus Buds 3. It starts at 449 yuan (about $63).
Regarding design, the OnePlus Buds 3 retains the iconic look of its predecessor, the OnePlus Buds Pro 2. Additionally, they come in two stylish colors: space gray and clear sea blue, featuring refined details. Moreover, their sleek and elegant design isn’t just about aesthetics; it also ensures comfort during extended wear.
The OnePlus Buds 3 showcases an advanced dual-dynamic crossover setup. Specifically, it boasts a 10.4mm double-layer TPU composite diaphragm for the woofer and a 6mm planar diaphragm for the tweeter. This combination delivers a bass that is both rich and impactful, coupled with crystal-clear treble. These earbuds actively employ a proprietary 3D surround spatial sound effect to enhance the spatial audio experience significantly.
When it comes to noise reduction capabilities, the Buds 3 excels with its active noise cancellation reaching up to 49 dB. This feature effectively eliminates as much as 99.6% of ambient noise. Impressively, it has also earned the German Rheinland High-Performance Noise Reduction Certification. The earbuds also include a 4000Hz ultra-wideband noise reduction capability, tackling a broader range of frequencies.
The OnePlus Buds 3 can significantly mitigate distractions, whether it’s the low-frequency rumble found in subways and buses or environmental noises like human chatter. Additionally, the earbuds automatically detect the surrounding environment and intelligently adjust the noise cancellation level using a three-microphone system, balancing effective noise reduction and user comfort.
