Samsung Galaxy A series, a consistent bestseller, notably borrows elements from its pricier counterpart, the Galaxy S series. Now, as 2024 nears, Samsung is shifting its focus to the upcoming Galaxy A55, and we’ve just received the latest renders. The new renderings highlight Samsung’s creative design approach. Interestingly, the Galaxy A55 debuts a “Key Island” design on its side, clearly visible in the provided rendering.
The Samsung Galaxy A55 will boast a 6.5-inch straight screen, featuring a central-punch Infinity-O layout. Moreover, it will display visuals in Full HD+ resolution and impress with a 120Hz maximum refresh rate. The Galaxy A55 positions its power and volume buttons on the right side. Conversely, the top houses the SIM card slot. The phone’s dimensions are neatly compact at 161.1 x 77.3 / 77.9 x 8.2mm.
The Galaxy A55 will harness the power of Samsung’s Exynos 1480 processor. This processor, known as the S5E8845 and internally nicknamed “Rose”, marks Samsung’s first venture into mid-range chips with an AMD GPU. It pairs with the Xclipse 530 GPU for enhanced performance.
Moreover, the image above reveals prominent bumps on the side buttons, accentuating the lock screen and volume buttons’ locations. The Galaxy A55 will come in Awesome Navy and Awesome Lilac, with a third color, “Awesome Iceblue,” yet to be showcased in renders. While the exact release date remains unknown, the impending launch of the Galaxy S24 series later this month suggests a February or March release for the A-series models.
