Xiaomi’s POCO brand is actively preparing to unveil the POCO X6 series in India early next year. As of now, the exact launch date remains a secret. Meanwhile, Flipkart has already created a special microsite for the POCO X6 series, signaling its near launch. Adding to the excitement, the POCO X6 Pro will boast the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Ultra chip.
The United States Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has revealed that this model will come in two storage options: 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB.
The POCO X6 Pro, poised to make its debut in the Indian market, will showcase the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Ultra chipset. Notably, it serves as a rebranded version of the recently launched Redmi K70e in China. Shifting its focus to the Indian audience, Xiaomi has strategically adjusted the charging speed of the X6 Pro from the Redmi K70e’s 90W to 67W. This adaptation reflects Xiaomi’s approach to tailoring products for diverse markets. Despite this alteration in charging capability, the POCO X6 Pro closely mirrors the design and features of the Redmi K70e.
The device sports a 6.67-inch 1.5K AMOLED display, has a peak brightness of 1800 nits, and a 120Hz refresh rate. It supports 1920Hz PWM high-frequency dimming, HDR 10+, Dolby Vision, and the DCI-P3 color gamut. In addition to the Dimensity 8300 Ultra chip, it features a Mali G615 GPU, with options of 8GB or 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB or 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. The POCO X6 Pro runs on HyperOS, based on Android 14.
For camera enthusiasts, the POCO X6 Pro boasts a powerful photographic setup, including a 64MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro camera, all enhanced by a dual-tone LED flash. Additionally, a 16MP front camera perfectly serves selfie lovers. The device has a 5500mAh battery, supported by 67W fast charging, and features a convenient screen fingerprint sensor. Furthermore, its features extend to include stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos, offering an audio experience. Moreover, the X6 Pro is well-equipped with NFC, GPS, an infrared remote control, and Wi-Fi 6 support, ensuring seamless connectivity. Finally, it proudly supports Hi-Res audio and wireless certifications, catering to audiophiles and tech-savvy users alike.
In terms of price, the Redmi K70e 12GB + 256GB variant sells for 1999 yuan (about $282) in China. The POCO X6 Pro will likely have a price of under 25,000 Rupees (about $300) in India.
