According to the latest information revealed by Ahmed Qwaider, Samsung is set to launch the Galaxy S24 Ultra. It features an upgrade in default resolution from 12 Megapixels to 24 Megapixels for RAW format photos.
This move by Samsung may be an effort to follow in the footsteps of Apple. Apple adjusted the default output to 24MP pixels through algorithmic changes in the iPhone 15 Pro series models released this year. The file size is not as extravagant as 48 Megapixels, nor as modest as 12 Megapixels.
The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is equipped with a 200-megapixel main lens. It supports two modes of shooting: 200-megapixels and 50-megapixels. Current leaks indicate that the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will still feature a 200-megapixel main lens.
According to previous information, the camera features of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra include:
Photo Remaster
Samsung may adopt functionality from the Galaxy Book 4 laptop to further enhance photo capture by invoking AI elements. The feature reportedly includes three options: Portrait, Remaster, and Delete. Portraits add depth to present the subject more effectively, Remaster upgrades images instantly with a single click, and Delete efficiently eliminates superfluous elements from photos.
ND Filter
Similar to Natural Density filters on DSLR cameras, this feature enhances the personalized photography experience by controlling shutter exposure and other parameters. This functionality has already appeared in the Galaxy S23 Ultra, hidden within the “Expert RAW Labs” section.
