As per the official information, Xiaomi HyperOS seamlessly integrates the native Linux kernel and the internally developed Vela kernel. It goes on to rebuild fundamental kernel modules and reconstruct four key subsystems, providing a completely revitalized foundational experience.

The intricacies of these four subsystems are outlined below:

The graphics subsystem effortlessly achieves high-quality rendering effects by incorporating intricate and realistic blurred color blending with multi-level rendering. Moreover, real-time simulation of texture, light, and shadow changes ensures that animation effects are as smooth as silk. Transitioning to the file subsystem, it attained nearly zero degradation in IO performance over 50 months. Additionally, it enhances third-party application loading speed by 15%, reduces OTA upgrade storage space usage by 79%, and diminishes OTA time requirements by 24%.

The network subsystem effectively resolves issues of network lag and disconnection in various scenarios. Notable improvements include a 42% reduction in lag time for high-speed rail video conferencing, a 20% reduction in lag time for WeChat video, a 39% decrease in average game delay, and a 19% increase in domestic Wi-Fi peak bandwidth. The memory subsystem, employing hierarchical acceleration, timely recycling, early allocation, and precise integrated evaluation, significantly shortens the time required for continuous application startups. This, in turn, results in a substantial increase in the number of background applications. Emphasizing that Xiaomi’s HyperOS is a user-centric, fully ecological operating system designed for both individuals and automobiles, officials underscored its commitment to enhancing the overall user experience.
