Recently, Apple TV 4K officially introduced the Zoom video conferencing application, enabling users to transform their iPhones into a camera for video conferencing. Since the Apple TV box itself lacks a built-in camera, the app utilizes the Continuity Camera feature, necessitating an iPhone and a stand. Users can leverage the Zoom application feature to employ their iPhone’s camera with Apple TV, eliminating the need for a specific stand – any stabilizing device will suffice.

The app’s launch has garnered significant attention, especially considering that tvOS17 had previously incorporated the FaceTime application into Apple TV 4K. Now, Zoom has seamlessly joined the ranks. While WebEx, a rival, has introduced a preview version of its Apple TV app, Zoom has yet to roll out its official version.

Despite the Zoom for Home TV lacking some features available in the main app, it boasts useful functionalities such as calendar integration. This application can be freely accessed through the Apple TV App Store but necessitates a Zoom account for utilization.

In essence, this development empowers users to engage in video conferencing via Apple TV without depending on additional devices or stands, promising a more convenient video conferencing experience.
