Audi launched the 2024 Audi A5 and S5, the latest mid-size coupes. These two new cars feature upgraded configurations while maintaining their original prices.
The 2024 Audi A5 entry-level model, the Sportback 40 TFSI, introduces several new features. These include dual USB charging ports in the rear, remote engine start, wireless charging for front-row mobile phones, and mobile app-enabled remote control. The Sportback 40 TFSI quattro, the second-lowest model, enhances its luxury and dynamic appeal with a black appearance kit based on the stylish model’s new configurations. The top-tier Sportback 45 TFSI Quattro now boasts front LED welcome lights as an added feature. The guide price of the 2024 Audi A5 starts at 379,800 yuan (about $53533).
For the 2024 Audi S5, available in Sportback 3.0T, Coupe 3.0T, and Cabriolet 3.0T versions, there are three distinctive variations. These three versions have canceled the Tianyun Gray body color and introduced new features, including rear USB charging ports, engine remote start, active lane-keeping, and updated rims. They also removed the dynamic steering system, and both Sportback and Coupe versions now provide an optional black exterior package. The guide price of the 2024 Audi S5 starts at 631,800 yuan (about $89053).
2024 Audi A5 and S5 Powertrain
Both the Audi A5 and S5 retain their existing powertrains. The A5 features two 2.0T turbocharged engines with different settings. The 40 TFSI delivers a maximum power of 150 kW and a peak torque of 320 Nm, while the 45 TFSI offers a maximum power of 195 kW and a peak torque of 370 Nm. Both models come with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch gearbox and the option of front-wheel or four-wheel drive.
The Audi S5 is powered by a 3.0T V6 turbocharged engine, generating a maximum power of 260 kW and a peak torque of 500 Nm. This model comes standard with an 8-speed manual transmission and utilizes a full-time four-wheel-drive system.
