Earlier reports indicated that Samsung had initially set the production volume for these Glasses at 30,000 units, and the Glasses were supposed to integrate Qualcomm Snapdragon’s next-generation XR chip. After Samsung discovered Apple’s Vision Pro specifications, the company concluded that it needed to make comprehensive adjustments to enhance the headset’s competitiveness. Consequently, Samsung postponed the release until the following year.
Although the specific specifications and technical details of this Samsung Glass XR headset remain unclear, given Samsung’s extensive experience and prowess in the VR/AR field, we anticipate that this product will make a significant impact on the market. The headset, designed by Samsung, will utilize Samsung OLEDoS (organic light-emitting diode on silicon) technology and feature a Samsung LSI camera sensor.
