Lu Weibing of Xiaomi Group posted on Weibo that about 7 million users are currently using Redmi K40 and Redmi K40S. The K40, launched in February 2021, emerged as the year’s hottest model. Official sales data reveals that the Redmi K40 series achieved sales of over 300,000 units within the first 5 minutes of its initial release.
The 2021 Double 11 promotion, the Redmi K40 secured the top spot on JD.com’s Double 11 mobile phone best-selling list. Subsequently, in March 2022, Redmi introduced the K40S, featuring the same Snapdragon 870 processor as the K40, along with the addition of an OIS optical anti-shake function to its rear 48 million main camera.
Now, Redmi is on the brink of unveiling the new K70 series products. Lu Weibing expresses unwavering confidence in the K70 series, asserting that it will challenge the highest performance on the same platform and leave no room for competitors.
Reportedly, the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 platform equips the Redmi K70 standard version, while the Pro version features the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 platform. Both versions boast 120W wired flash charging support and include a rear 50-megapixel outsole main camera. The highly anticipated launch of these new products is scheduled for the end of the month.
