The Geekbench platform reveals the presence of two models in the latest Xiaomi TM2211 laptop: i9-14900HX and i5-14500HX. In the case of i9-14900HX, the processor features 8 large cores and 16 small cores, as depicted in the image. On the other hand, the i5-14500HX model is equipped with 6 large cores and 8 small cores.
As indicated in earlier reports, the 14th generation HX processors from Intel represent a high-frequency version of the 13th generation HX series, without adopting new technology or architecture. Gaming laptops commonly use HX series processors, which are typically adapted from desktop platforms and feature dedicated graphics. However, the Geekbench platform does not currently display the discrete graphics model for this Xiaomi laptop.
It remains uncertain at present whether the new Xiaomi TM2211 laptop belongs to the Redmi G series or if Xiaomi is planning to relaunch its gaming laptop series.
Furthermore, Xiaomi Group’s Senior Vice President, Zeng Xuezong, officially announced today the in-house development of the HyperConnect cross-platform connectivity framework. Xiaomi will unveil the framework tomorrow morning at the Xiaomi IoT Ecological Partner Conference. It is an open connectivity framework designed for third-party vendors. It can integrate various categories of smart hardware, enabling “easy utilization of cross-device capabilities.”
According to official posters, the HyperConnect framework’s cross-platform layer mainly includes a “distributed subsystem,” a “cross-platform service framework subsystem,” a “cross-platform application framework subsystem,” and a “cross-platform security subsystem.” Xiaomi claims that this framework facilitates efficient device connections and ultimate collaboration.
