According to the latest updates, the Xiaomi Car factory has initiated small-scale trial production and is planning to commence mass production next month. Positioned as a C-class eco-friendly tech sedan under the Xiaomi brand, it has relatively high-performance configurations.
Inside sources have revealed that Xiaomi has designed a car with a spacious interior and has equipped it with the independently developed HyperOS system. In terms of appearance, blogger Han Lu suggests that its aesthetics are impressive, holding its own against models like the Taycan.
Furthermore, the blogger reveals that the initial price for Xiaomi’s debut model exceeds 300,000 yuan, with the high-end version expected to reach nearly 400,000 yuan. Critical components such as the motor, large castings, and battery packs employ Xiaomi’s in-house technology, manufactured at Xiaomi’s factory in Yizhuang, Beijing. The car is labeled with “Beijing Xiaomi” on the rear.
Concerning the automotive project, Xiaomi Group’s partner and president, Lu Weibing, stated in the middle of this year that the progress is smooth, and the target for mass production in the first half of 2024 remains unchanged. As the deadline approaches, we expect Xiaomi to unveil more news about its car shortly.
