A British man reported encountering quality issues with the iPhone 15 Pro Max he had ordered from Apple’s official UK website. Upon receiving the package, he observed anomalies with the phone’s protective film and noticed incorrect lighting on the screen. Additionally, the setup process appeared unusual, and it wasn’t until the iPhone powered up that he discovered it was an Android copycat machine.

The buyer recounted, “Skipping through the settings directly to the phone, I found pre-installed apps like Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok. The iOS displayed distinct variations, and the camera functioned like a slideshow. Any attempt at UI interaction caused the phone to crash.”

Despite the fake iPhone 15 Pro Max closely resembling the authentic model, featuring the Smart Island screen and all Apple apps, the vigilant buyer refrained from logging into any personal accounts. Emphasizing the need for caution, he advised others to scrutinize authenticity when making purchases.

As for the potential cause, speculations arose among netizens, suggesting a package switch during the express delivery process. The buyer promptly reported the issue to Apple, and it is anticipated that the company will provide a replacement device.

This incident serves as a reminder to exercise caution when making purchases, preventing deception. Simultaneously, there is a call to enhance the supervision of e-commerce platforms and logistics links, ensuring effective protection of consumer rights and interests.
