Recently, Xiaomi Automotive Technology Company’s applied patent for “Trunk Assembly and Vehicle” was disclosed. The abstract reveals that the trunk assembly includes a trunk body, a cover assembly, a storage box assembly, a clothes rack assembly, and a storage box switch baffle.
The clothes rack assembly is located inside the Xiaomi Trunk body, connected at one end to the rear seat. With this trunk assembly, diverse storage space is provided to meet various storage needs.
Automotive companies, previously focusing on in-car amenities like “refrigerators, TVs, and large sofas,” are now extending their attention to features such as a “clothes rack. In fact, the recently launched Ji Shi 01 introduced the concept of a “mobile kitchen” inside the car, allowing for simple cooking at the rear of the trunk door.
The recently unveiled Zhi Jie S7 takes it a step further by proposing the concepts of a “vehicle-mounted mobile office desk” and a “vehicle-mounted makeup table.” One can say that domestic automotive companies far outpace their joint venture counterparts in creating innovative demands.
