The Xiaomi 14 series has released the HyperOS development edition with the version number OS1.0.23.10.25.DEV. This first-phase beta of this version includes several new features, such as Xiaoai Input Assistant, AI Portrait, AI Image Search, and Real-time Subtitles.
Xiaomi 14 series’ input method integrates Xiaoai Input Assistant for easier text composition. Moreover, it offers features like summarization, translation, and refinement, enhancing the quality of textual content.
AI Portrait is a remarkable technology that generates lifelike AI images based on people’s photos in the album. It can also create portraits of various themes and allows for free creativity through text descriptions. With AI Portrait, users can see their diverse and captivating images, displaying a wide range of charm. With the support of a large model, users can easily and accurately search their albums using AI Image Search. Just search based on your ideas, and AI Image Search helps you find the desired pictures.
Additionally, the real-time subtitle function can generate intelligent summaries, effortlessly extracting key information. Expected at the end of November, Xiaomi will roll out updates for the second-phase beta, which includes Xiaomi HyperMind, on-device Xiaoai Classmate Text-to-Life Images, and on-device Album AI Editing.
It’s worth noting that the Xiaomi smartphone system had a real-time subtitle function before, but it only supported Chinese-English translation and did not support translation for other foreign languages such as Japanese and Korean. It’s currently unclear whether this feature will be upgraded in the new system.
