This morning, Xiaomi officially unveiled the performance specifications of the Xiaomi 14 in a comprehensive manner. The first release features the third-generation Snapdragon 8 performance tests, and as of now, the performance appears to be very strong, with an AnTuTu benchmark score reaching around 2 million.
Additionally, it’s the most powerful small-screen flagship! The Xiaomi 14 comes standard with the third-generation Snapdragon 8 and a ring-shaped cold pump cooling system. “Genshin Impact,” can achieve the highest graphics quality at 59.7 fps, with a power consumption of only 4.6W and a maximum temperature of just 43.1 degrees Celsius. These results are quite impressive.
The official statement attributes this to the astonishing efficiency curve of the third-generation Snapdragon 8, which has reduced power consumption for CPU, GPU, and NPU by at least 34% compared to the previous generation, resulting in superior battery life and heat control. Furthermore, the Xiaomi 14 series now comes standard with a ring-shaped heat pump cooling system, a technology that was first introduced in the Xiaomi 13 Ultra flagship configuration. The heat dissipation capacity is 300% higher compared to traditional VC cooling.
Thanks to the unique “multi-layer control water unidirectional structure,” it pumps the cooling liquid from the remote area to the hot zone. The liquid evaporates in the hot zone and then circulates down to the cold zone in a clockwise unidirectional flow. Thanks to this technology, the Xiaomi 14 can fully unleash the extreme performance of the third-generation Snapdragon 8 and maintain strong output even during prolonged use.
