Huawei’s official refurbishment of the Mate Xs 2 is now available for sale on the Huawei Store. They offer three versions: a 256GB variant priced at 7399 yuan ($1010), a 512GB version priced at 8399 yuan ($1,147), and a collector’s edition with 12GB+512GB priced at 9499 yuan ($1,297).
Huawei states that these official refurbished devices originate from genuine sources, primarily comprising machines with a 7-day return policy. They undergo professional refurbishment at Huawei factories and come with original accessories, including a charger, data cable, and leather protective case. Additionally, they offer a one-year warranty.
Huawei launched the Mate Xs 2 on April 28, 2022, with a starting price of 9999 yuan. In November of the same year, the company upgraded the device to support Beidou satellite messaging. It makes it the world’s first foldable screen phone to support satellite communication. Users can send text and location information via the Changlei App without ground signals, providing accurate coordinate information. Huawei’s CEO, Yu Chengdong, stated that this Beidou satellite messaging feature is unique.
The Huawei Mate Xs 2 features a 7.8-inch screen with a resolution of 2480*2200, which folds down to 6.5 inches. It runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 4G processor, and the introduction of these refurbished models provides additional value for consumers seeking cost-effective options.
