The new flagship smartphone from South Korea’s Samsung, the Galaxy S24 series, has recently attracted attention again. According to data from the South Korean regulatory agency Safety Korea, this series has added another battery supplier, the Indian company Navitasys, officially becoming the fourth battery supplier for the Galaxy S24 series.
The relevant data indicates that Navitasys will provide Samsung with the battery model EB-BS928ABY for use in their flagship model, the Galaxy S24 Ultra. It is currently unclear whether Navitasys will also supply the battery models EB-BS922ABY and EB-BS926ABY for the Galaxy S24 and S24+ models, which previously used different battery models.
Taking into account previous reports, last month’s data showed that the three suppliers for the Samsung Galaxy S24 series were Samsung SDI Vietnam, China’s Ningbo New Energy, and India’s ELENTEC. At least for the Galaxy S24+, Samsung adopted a multi-supplier strategy, all using the EB-BS926ABY battery model. The standard version and the Ultra version might adopt a similar approach.
For the Galaxy S24+, all three companies mentioned above will supply the same battery model, EB-BS926ABY. There are rumors that in the upcoming three flagship phones, the Ultra version may undergo significant design changes, including the use of a flat-screen design, and there have been reports that the device will feature a sturdy titanium alloy frame.
Additionally, Ross Young, the CEO of screen supply chain consultancy company DSCC, revealed in a recent tweet that the Galaxy S24 series will offer four color options, including black, gray, purple, and yellow, to meet the aesthetic preferences of different users. This news adds a touch of mystery to the Galaxy S24 series.
