In Lei Jun’s words, “In the era of the Internet of Everything, the complexity and sheer number of operating system variants across various devices, along with the ecological disconnects caused by different systems and protocols, might surpass many people’s expectations.” Launching a self-developed operating system prior to the smart car era will undoubtedly enhance Xiaomi’s ecosystem’s core competitiveness.
