The Android flagship mobile phone market swiftly responded to the early release of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. Moreover, recent updates indicate that the iQOO12 series and vivo X100 series mobile phones have expedited their release schedules. The iQOO 12 series will debut in early November, and the vivo X100 series will hit the market in mid-November. Network access permission has already been granted for four new phone models: iQOO12, iQOO 12 Pro, vivo X100, and vivo X100 Pro.
In terms of specifications, earlier reports mentioned that the iQOO 12 would feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, offering up to 16GB of RAM and either 512GB or 1TB of storage. The iQOO 12 will also sport a 50-megapixel primary camera. It will support rapid 100-watt charging technology and feature a 2K high-frequency dimming display. Furthermore, this new model will have a 50MP OV50H OIS primary camera, a 50MP JN1 ultra wide-angle lens, and a 64MP OV64B OIS 3X± telephoto lens.
The MediaTek Dimensity 9300 processor will power the vivo X100 series mobile phones. These phones will also have an expansive main camera with a large aperture. This camera will integrate new optical coating, dark-light periscope, ultra-telephoto macro, and various other functions. Blogger @WHYLAB has reported that the vivo X100 series will come equipped with the UNISOC V8821 satellite communication SoC chip. This chip will support two-way text, picture, voice, and video (currently in development) satellite message transmission functionality. It remains uncertain whether both the standard and Pro versions will include this feature.
If these leaks hold, the release of the iQOO 12 series and vivo X100 series is just around the corner, with official pre-launch activities expected to commence shortly.
