The latest DXOMARK evaluation results reveal that the Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max front camera secures the top spot in global front-facing camera rankings with an impressive total score of 149 points. In its review, DXOMARK discusses both the strengths and weaknesses of the phone.
Among the notable advantages of the iPhone 15 Pro Max are its precise photo and video exposure, expansive dynamic range, swift and dependable autofocus, broad depth of field, and the ability to capture rich details in photos and videos even under bright lighting conditions. However, the device does have some shortcomings, including the presence of noise in all shooting conditions, occasional artifacts in photos and videos, and sporadic differences in sharpness between frames during video recording while in motion.
The front camera of the iPhone 15 Pro Max employs a 12-megapixel sensor and an F/1.9 aperture lens equipped with autofocus capabilities. Test results indicate that it supports recording resolutions of 4K at 24/25/30/60 fps and 1080p at 25/30/60/120 fps.
It’s worth mentioning that the Apple iPhone dominates five of the top ten positions on the current DXOMARK total list of front camera scores, and these scores, in general, tend to be higher.
