Reports indicate that OnePlus is set to officially release its first foldable screen phone, the OnePlus Open, on October 19. Blogger Max Jambor had previously leaked information suggesting an August 19 release date, but the launch did not proceed as planned. This delay, it appears, is attributed to changes in display panel suppliers.
It’s worth noting that details regarding the appearance and specifications of OnePlus’ inaugural folding screen phone have already surfaced. Anticipated features include a 7.8-inch 2K AMOLED internal screen and a 6.3-inch AMOLED external screen, both boasting a 120Hz refresh rate. This new device is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, offering a built-in 4800mAh battery supporting 67W fast charging.
Blogger @OnLeaks shared renderings that reveal the phone’s body, crafted from a leather-like material. Additionally, its camera module features a circular design adorned with Hasselblad’s iconic logo.
Reports suggest that the OnePlus Open may feature a 7.8-inch AMOLED internal screen with a 2K resolution. And a 6.3-inch external screen that can achieve a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. Moreover, it may include a Snapdragon 8 Gen2 main control and offer a storage capacity of up to 16GB + 256GB.
Additionally, the device is rumored to house a 4800mAh battery while supporting 100W wired fast charging. Its camera capabilities include a dual front camera with a 32-megapixel resolution. On the rear, it features a three-camera module consisting of a 48-megapixel main camera. Additionally, it has a 48-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and a 64-megapixel telephoto secondary camera.
