Xiaomi has introduced a Whole-House Router package, featuring one main router and one child router, known as AX3000, at an initial price of 499 yuan (about $69). Pre-sales for this innovative product will commence on September 21.
The product page highlights that it supports Wi-Fi 6, includes a Gigabit Ethernet port, offers Bluetooth gateway functionality, enables NFC one-click connection capability, and boasts a generous 256MB of memory, although it has not yet disclosed specific details about this router. Furthermore, silver-white plastic constructs the body of the router, and it includes Mesh networking support.
Xiaomi Whole-House Router AX3000 adopts the new generation WiFi 6 technology, offering dual-band concurrent wireless speeds of up to 2976Mbps, a 155% improvement compared to the mainstream AC1200. This results in significantly faster internet speeds.
Furthermore, it incorporates OFDMA technology, which divides the wireless channel into multiple sub-channels (sub-carriers). This innovation enables multiple users to transmit data simultaneously within each period, effectively reducing queuing delays.
In terms of performance, the Xiaomi AX3000 features the latest Qualcomm chips, along with 4 hidden antennas and 4 independent signal amplifiers. Both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequency bands are equipped with independent signal amplifiers (PA+LNA), resulting in a 4dB increase in signal strength and a 50% improvement in theoretical coverage strength.
