Based on IDC data, it has been observed that the Chinese market witnessed a surge in shipments of Xiaomi folding screen smartphones during the first half of the year, reaching a total of 2.27 million units. This represents a substantial year-on-year increase of 102.0%. Among the top six brands, Xiaomi contributed approximately 82,000 units, securing a market share of around 5.6%.
Currently, major players such as Samsung, Huawei, OPPO, and vivo have adopted a dual-line parallel strategy, featuring both “big folding” and “small folding” devices. In contrast, Xiaomi and Honor have exclusively launched “big folding” mobile phones.
Recently, Xiaomi MIX Flip (2311BPN23C) has made an appearance in the IMEI database, hinting at Xiaomi’s upcoming vertical folding screen smartphone. While specific details about the device’s specifications remain undisclosed, there is a possibility of its release within the current year. Consequently, we may anticipate a series of leaks and related information surfacing soon.
Based on leaked factory information, GSMChina has envisioned the Xiaomi MIX Flip appearance, suggesting that the unfolded front will feature a centered single-hole screen, while the rear will house a triple-camera setup along with a rectangular sub-screen, supporting 3x zoom functionality.
