FIMI Technology, a company within Xiaomi’s ecological chain, has unveiled the Fimi Manta PNP-FC Drone, marking a significant addition to its product lineup.
In contrast to the conventional four-axis rotor design, the Manta UAV features the Y3 configuration tilting rotor structure. This innovative approach not only grants it the hovering capabilities typical of multi-rotors but also ensures efficient cruising akin to fixed-wing aircraft. What sets the Manta apart is its modular tilting structure, designed for swift replacements and assembly. This adaptable design facilitates easy wing disassembly and assembly, enhancing its portability and storage convenience.
The wing uses strong carbon rods for a balance of lightness and strength. This makes it durable and lightweight. The flight design has no tail on the wing, optimizing fuselage space. This also greatly extends battery life, enabling an impressive 85-minute flight. The drone’s spacious battery compartment design accommodates various battery types, including 3S1p18650, 4S1p18650, and 3S1p21700, providing flexibility to users.
Manta’s structural resilience is owed to its four-link tilting configuration, reinforced by a locking mechanism, metal tooth servo, and all-metal rocker arm. This arrangement minimizes structural vulnerabilities, simplifying maintenance. The Manta drone, crafted from lightweight, high-density, environmentally-friendly new EPP material, boasts qualities such as pressure resistance, cushioning, heat insulation, elasticity, and resistance to deformation and impacts.
Moreover, Manta incorporates a versatile equipment compartment, adept at supporting both analog and high-definition image transmission. As for expansion, the drone is compatible with the FIMI G21 Pro three-axis gimbal camera.
Notably, the drone offers the possibility of foam part modifications and more, accompanied by the provision of open-source 3D printing blueprints by the manufacturer. PNP-FC Version is priced at only 1399 yuan (about $193), and the Manta is now available for purchase.
