During the 2023 Vivo Fan Festival (V Fan Carnival), Vivo Global President Shen Wei unveiled significant news regarding the mobile phone industry. At this event, Shen Wei confirmed the launch date and specifications for the Vivo X100 series.

Vivo X100 Pro

Addressing over 130V fans on-site, Shen Wei made an announcement: the vivo X100 Pro, considered the world’s most advanced imaging flagship, will debut before the year’s end. He highlighted that this model is distinct from the X100 Pro+, as the latter might arrive next year. A special highlight followed – Shen Wei revealed that each attendee would receive a vivo X100 Pro as a gift, enhancing the event’s appeal.

The vivo X100 Pro is coming in November. It’s part of the X100 series. It has enhancements. It uses Vivo’s V3 chip. The chip improves imaging with a 6nm process. Prioritizing 4K portrait videos, the series will enhance filming speed and frame smoothness, improving shooting experiences.

Regarding its imaging capabilities, the vivo X100 Pro’s rear camera setup features a 50-megapixel Sony IMX989 main camera, a 12-megapixel Sony IMX663 ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto camera, offering versatile shooting choices. Additionally, the phone will incorporate a 1.5K OLED curved screen with a 120Hz refresh rate for visuals. Fast charging technology will be available. The X-axis linear motor, infrared remote control, stereo dual speakers, and comprehensive NFC support are positioned to enrich the user experience.

In conjunction with the vivo X100 Pro, the upcoming vivo X100 series and its Pro+ variant are generating anticipation. The X100 Pro+ will showcase a 50-megapixel Sony IMX989 main camera with a 1-inch outsole sensor. It will introduce a 200-megapixel telephoto lens alongside two 50-megapixel secondary cameras, amplifying its shooting capabilities significantly.

In contrast, we expect the standard version of the vivo X100 to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 processor for the first time. Based on current news, the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 uses TSMC’s N4P process. It has an eight-core design and a “simple and rude” 4+4 architecture, including 4 Cortex-X4 cores and 4 Cortex-A720 cores. Early reports suggest that the X4 core is tentatively clocked at 3.0GHz, while the A720 core operates at 2.0GHz. The specific adjustments for the final mass-produced version are uncertain. At the same time, the latest updates reveal that the chip will support LPDDR5T memory.
