GPD has revealed the introductory price for their upcoming GPD WIN Mini, soon to be open for pre-sale. The initial cost for the R7 7840U + 7-inch 120Hz + 32G + 512GB model stands at 4999 yuan ($690). Below, you’ll find a detailed breakdown of the specifications for the GPD WIN Mini.

As for dimensions and weight, the device boasts a sleek frame, measuring 168×109×26 mm and weighing in at 520g. The screen showcases a 7-inch 120Hz high-refresh gaming display, utilizing LTPS technology and the 6th gen Gorilla Glass. This display integrates AF+AR anti-reflection to minimize glare while achieving an impressive brightness of 500 nits. The resolution clocks in at 1080P, delivering a pixel density of 368PPI. Furthermore, the display incorporates DC dimming to ensure fluid visuals without any flicker.

The device derives its processing power from the AMD Ryzen 7 7840U / Ryzen 5 7640U, coupled with the AMD 780M / 760M core display. Operating within a 15~30 TDP range, the device’s performance is reported to outpace that of the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti in floating-point computations.

In terms of memory, users can opt for LPDDR5-6400MT/s, available in sizes ranging from 16GB to 32 GB. Storage choices encompass a PCIe Gen4 M.2 SSD, with capacities ranging from 512GB to 2TB. The device features a joystick with a sunken design, enhancing navigational convenience. This joystick supports L3 and R3 functions, featuring stepless, super linear response to eliminate unresponsive zones.

When it comes to connectivity, the device offers a variety of options. The USB4 interface delivers a 40Gbps bandwidth and seamless compatibility with the Thunderbolt 3. This facilitates connections to the GPD G1 or graphics docks, alongside rapid charging through the PD protocol. Furthermore, the device features an SFF-8612, which boasts a bandwidth of 63Gbps and a throughput of 7.877GB/s. It also includes a USB 3.2 Gen 2 full-featured Type-C port that provides a 10Gbps bandwidth and supports fast charging through the PD protocol. The MicroSD card reader adheres to the SD 3.0 protocol, demonstrating A2 level I/O performance with theoretical read speeds of 160MB/s and write speeds of 120MB/s.

The ergonomic design of the device incorporates 3-axis gravity sensing and a 3-axis gyroscope. Input options encompass a white backlit keyboard with dome buttons and a precise touchpad.
