Today, Daniel Desjarlais, the international representative for Xiaomi, confirmed via tweet that Xiaomi will limit the exclusive market for the Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 to mainland China.
Following this announcement, international customers cannot access this innovative device through the usual retail channels. This news has led to an outpouring of disappointment from users worldwide.
The Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 made its official debut on the evening of August 14th, and its initial sale commenced at 10:00 AM today, with pricing starting at 8,999 yuan (about $1242). This new device boasts the advanced Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, LPDDR5X memory, and UFS 4.0 flash storage. Housing a robust Xiaomi surging battery with a 4800mAh capacity, the phone supports rapid 67W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
Furthermore, the product features an internal 8.03-inch 2160×1916 display and an external 6.56-inch 2520×1080 screen, with a 120Hz refresh rate and local peak brightness reaching 2600 nits.
The device enhances its photographic capabilities through a Leica optical full-focus quad-camera system, which consists of a 50MP primary camera (Sony IMX800, 1/1.56″, memory alloy OIS, 1G+6P), a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens (OV13B10, 120°), a 10MP portrait telephoto lens (Samsung S5K3K1, OIS), and a 10MP periscope telephoto lens (Samsung S5K3K1, OIS).
