Honor intends to unveil a pair of folding-screen mobile phones during the IFA Exhibition 2023. Among them, the Honor Magic V2 will take the spotlight, while details about the other device remain undisclosed. The expected price will be around 8,999 Yuan (about $1,246).
The upcoming addition to Honor’s product lineup is a sleek, foldable phone featuring a slim profile and a spacious 2K eye-friendly display. Furthermore, they’ve divulged their plans to introduce the Magic Flip folding screen mobile phone and the digital series GT model next year. A new telephone boasting an LCD is also in the pipeline.
Honor Magic V2 has released on July 12, with a global release scheduled for September 1. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 flagship chipset and LPDDR5X memory, and UFS 4.0 flash storage. The thinnest variant comes in at just 9.9mm, and when unfolded, it boasts an astonishing 4.7mm thickness. For the glass edition, these dimensions measure 4.8mm when unfolded and 10.1mm when folded.
The Honor Magic V2 proudly showcases a 6.43-inch 2376×1060 BOE OLED screen, sporting a 20:9 aspect ratio. The display reaches a remarkable maximum brightness of 1500nit, peaking at 2500nit. On the other hand, the internal screen offers a 7.92-inch 2344×2156 BOE OLED panel with a 9.8:9 aspect ratio. Its maximum brightness reaches 1000nit, and the peak brightness hits 1600nit.
The internal and external displays boast a smooth 120Hz LTPO refresh rate, along with 3840Hz high-frequency PWM dimming features and a stunning palette of 1.07 billion colors. Fueling the Honor Magic V2 is a robust 5000mAh Qinghai Lake battery, which supports rapid 66W charging. The device also boasts a 16MP front lens for both the external and internal screens. At the same time, the rear setup impressively combines a 50MP primary camera, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 20MP telephoto lens capable of up to 40x zoom.
