Xiaomi is again gearing up to launch its latest phone. The Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 is officially slated to release in August.
In a tweet last week, Lei Jun, Xiaomi’s founder and CEO, revealed that the Mix Fold 3 will launch in August. He expressed great pride in partnering with Leica, a major step in mobile imaging progress. The collaboration led to innovations in miniature OIS motors, thin high-refractive lenses, compact periscope modules, and camera design.
In his Weibo post, Lei Jun highlighted the successful partnership with Leica. Transitioning to specific examples, phones like Mi 13 Ultra and previous Mix Fold 2 were mentioned. These collaborations aimed to has imaging capabilities. They incorporated elements such as tiny OIS motors, ultra-thin high-refractive lenses, and compact periscope modules.
The Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 features a curved display design and supports 67W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. As a result of this successful collaboration, the Mix Fold 3 is expected to have a quad-camera system equipped with Leica imaging technology. Lei Jun’s poster hints at the device’s ultra-slim design, making it Xiaomi’s first foldable smartphone with a full-focus quad-camera system.

Details about the screen specifications have also surfaced, revealing an external screen of 6.56 inches and an internal foldable screen of 8.02 inches, featuring an impressive 120Hz refresh rate. The device is rumored to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen1, offering up to 16GB of RAM. Its price is expected to be around 8,999 Yuan (about $1,251).
