Xiaomi introduced the upgraded Human Body Sensor 2S, now available at a reasonable price of 69 yuan (about $9). This latest version has significant improvements over its predecessor. Most notably, the battery life has been remarkably extended from one to three years.
The sensor has undergone several enhancements. Alongside its existing human body movement recognition function, it now includes micro motion recognition, broadening its scope of applications. Additionally, the light-sensing part has been finely tuned, accurately identifying light intensity in the range of 0-1000lux, with the option to select recognition intervals of 10, 20, or 30 seconds.
The Human Body Sensor 2S introduces a high-sensitivity mode. This mode detects subtle human movements like leaning or waving. It triggers corresponding commands based on the detected body state. Additionally, the upgraded light sensor can now perceive ambient light values more accurately. This enhancement enables more versatile linkage scenes. Consequently, it caters to various lighting needs.
The sensor covers an impressive fan-shaped monitoring range, spanning up to 7 meters. Any intrusion within this range will immediately trigger an alarm notification.
The installation has been made easier with adhesive stickers on the product bracket. Moreover, it supports three installation methods: flat, side, and upside down. Additionally, the sensing window is adjustable within a 90° vertical and 360° horizontal range.
To connect the Xiaomi Human Body Sensor 2S, users can conveniently add the device via the Mijia App and follow the instructions provided in the product manual. During use, ensure the presence of a Bluetooth Mesh gateway within a 10-meter range to ensure seamless functionality.
