DJI has launched three drones this year: Inspire 3, Mavic 3 Pro, and Matrice 350 RTK. However, according to the latest news, DJI plans to release new drone products this year. The internet already has suspected images of the DJI Air 3 drone, indicating that it is currently in the testing stage and will be officially unveiled this summer.
Although the camera spy photos are unclear, they suggest the drone’s imaging system features a dual-camera setup. Reports indicate that the DJI Air 3 will have a primary camera with a one-inch image sensor and another lens, possibly a 1-inch or 1/3-inch 3x optical zoom telephoto lens or a 1/2-inch 7x optical zoom telephoto lens. The drone will be approximately 4g heavier than the DJI Air 2S and offer a flight time of around 30 minutes.
Based on the current specifications, the Air 3 might be a smaller version of the Mavic 3, with a dual-camera solution priced lower than the Mavic 3. This indicates that the Air series will likely become DJI’s main product line, featuring a one-inch primary camera. In contrast, the Mavic 3 series will have a 4/3-inch primary camera, highlighting the differences in their imaging capabilities.
