Recently, a supplier provided updates on the progress of the Xiaomi Car, revealing that the quotation process has been successfully completed.
Changchun FAW Fuwei Auto Parts Co., Ltd. responded to inquiries regarding their collaboration with Xiaomi, stating that they are actively engaged in communication with the company. Numerous subsidiaries of Changchun FAW Fuwei have joined Xiaomi’s procurement team. The supplier further confirmed that the quotation for Xiaomi’s first car model has been finalized.

This information shared by the supplier indicates that Xiaomi’s car production is steadily moving forward. Xiaomi’s cars will be tested in summer and winter before their official launch in the first half of the following year. In May, Lu Weibing expressed confidence in Xiaomi’s car project, anticipating its successful and potentially surpassing expectations.
Rumors had circulated on the internet, suggesting that Xiaomi cars would be priced starting from 149,900 yuan. However, these rumors were officially debunked as false news. Misleading reports emerged when “Xiao Ai,” an AI assistant developed by Xiaomi, mistakenly captured speculative information from the media. These rumors gained significant traction. In June, a car blogger shared a genuine photo of the Xiaomi car, praising its spaciousness and attractive low-slung design.
