On June 30th, Gizcoupon reported that Xiaomi Redmi Note 12R is set to go on sale today at 10 o’clock Beijing time. It is priced starting from 1,099 yuan (approximately $153). It is slightly more expensive than the previous “contract” version by 100 yuan (about $14).
Dubbed the “5G Little King Kong,” this device features the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset. The chip is manufactured using Samsung’s advanced 4nm process. The CPU configuration is 22.2GHz A78 + 61.95GHz A55. The GPU configuration is Adreno 613 955MHz. Additionally, the phone comes equipped with LPDDR4X+UFS 2.2 storage (starting from 4GB+128GB). It also supports expandable storage of up to 1TB via a memory card.
The Redmi Note 12R boasts a 6.79-inch 1080p centered hole-punch LCD display. It supports a resolution of 2460×1080, a 90Hz screen refresh rate, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and DC dimming.
In terms of photography, the device is equipped with a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP main lens and a 2MP secondary lens, as well as a 5MP front-facing camera.
