On June 29th, Gizcoupon reported that according to a report by international technology media outlet MySmartPrice, it is estimated that OnePlus will launch the V Fold foldable smartphone in August this year. Additionally, they have shared critical specifications, including the camera and battery.
The report states that the foldable phone will feature a 7.8-inch AMOLED internal display with a resolution of 2K and a refresh rate of 120Hz. Furthermore, the device has a 6.3-inch AMOLED external display with the same 120Hz refresh rate.
The phone is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. It also boasts 16GB of RAM and a storage combination of 256 GB. Moreover, it houses a built-in 4800mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging.
Gizcoupon note: The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip adopts a new 1+4+3 octa-core architecture. It includes a super-core Kryo Prime core (based on Cortex-X3) running at 3.2GHz for high single-thread performance. Four performance cores are also running at 2.8GHz for better handling of multi-threaded workloads. Lastly, there are three efficiency cores clocked at 2.0GHz.
According to Gizcoupon’s findings from the report, the rear of this foldable phone features three cameras. These include a 48-megapixel primary camera, a 48-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 64-megapixel telephoto lens. Optical zoom details are currently unconfirmed.
The OnePlus V Fold comes preloaded with Oxygen OS 13.1 based on Android 13. Additionally, it features a three-stage slider and a fingerprint sensor on the side of the device.
