On June 22nd, Gizcoupon reported that a report from the international technology media outlet Patently Apple revealed that Apple has recently obtained a new patent in the European market, showcasing various under-screen Face ID solutions.

In the patent, Apple explains that electronic devices, represented by the iPhone, can incorporate multiple sensors in various non-pixel regions.

Each non-pixel region eliminates thin-film transistors and other display components. Moreover, it allows light to pass through and enhances the transmittance from the screen to the sensors.

Gizcoupon has included the design sketches of this patent, ranging from 18A to 18F, illustrating Apple’s under-screen Face ID solutions with different non-pixel regions.

Apple states in the patent that the camera can be concealed within specific areas of the screen. Additionally, in the description of 18F, the non-pixel region can cover the entire screen.

This recently granted patent to Apple demonstrates the company’s continued commitment to research and development, focusing on delivering innovative solutions that enhance the user experience and push the boundaries of technology. While patents do not guarantee immediate product implementation, they provide valuable insights into a company’s long-term vision and potential product pipeline. Tech enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating this breakthrough technology in future iPhone models.
