Nubia is set to introduce a new addition to its 5G smartphone series, the Nubia NEO. The smartphone comes with the UNISOC T820 chip. The rumours are that the smartphone will launch on the coming 20th. The UNISOC T820 was released last year, and the processor gives a good performance in 5G.
The processor’s performance closely mirrors that of the Huawei Kirin 820 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G. It suggested it is a well-matched competition in the mid-range smartphone market.
Performance
The UNISOC T820 chip comes with the Arm Mali-G57 MC4 GPU, running at a frequency of 850MHz. The GPU promises to deliver impressive graphical performance to support gaming, multimedia, and other demanding applications.
In addition to this, the new UNISOC T820 processor spots the four large cores of Arm Cortex-A55. It also comprises the three Arm Cortex-A76 large cores and one arm of Cortex-A76.
Test Scores
Multiple test scores for the UNISOC T820 have been released, illustrating the chip’s strong performance. In the GeekBench 4 test, the UNISOC T820 scored 2857 points in the single-core run and 8410 points in the multi-core run.
In the GeekBench 5 test, the chip achieved multiple cores of 2283 points and a single-core score of 639 points. The GFXBench 5 T-Rex, Manhattan 3.0, and Manhattan 3.1 1080p off-screen tests. It also showed impressive results with 88FPS, 55FPS, and 37FPS, respectively.
The new UNISOC T820 is the latest addition to Ziguang Zhanrui’s 5G terminal mobile phone family. The integration of the T820 chip in the Nubia Neo hints at significant performance capabilities in the mid-range smartphone sector. As anticipation builds for the June 20 launch, industry watchers and smartphone enthusiasts alike are eagerly awaiting the phone’s arrival to assess the real-world performance of the UNISOC T820 chip.
