Gizcoupon reported on May 8th that the official MIUI Weibo account announced that the Xiaomi Band 8 series had been added to the Xiaomi Mi Miaoxiang Center. According to the official MIUI statement, after joining the Mi Miaoxiang Center, users can directly control their phone’s audio streaming through the Xiaomi Band 8 Series and switch between different playback devices with just one button. Additionally, the smart band can also control various other devices, such as headphones, speakers, and TVs.
As previously reported by Gizcoupon, Xiaomi introduced a new feature called Mi Miaoxiang Center in MIUI 13. It enables seamless device connectivity and communication, supporting features like media relaying, application transfer, and global playback control.
On a mobile device, users can enter Mi Miaoxiang Center through the Control Center, and on a tablet, through the recent tasks menu in the top left corner of the screen. Users can drag music cards to wireless speakers, touchscreen speakers, and TVs, allowing them to continue playing their music on their desired devices.
Furthermore, by dragging the screen card from a phone or tablet to a TV, users can enjoy screen mirroring. On the phone, users can also drag the screen card to a tablet or computer to enable cross-screen collaboration.
To transfer applications to another device, users can swipe up from the bottom of the screen and then select the Mi Miaoxiang Center icon in the top left corner of the screen. After entering the device selection list, users can click on the device they wish to transfer the current application to, enabling an effortless switching of the screen experience.
