According to Gizcoupon’s April 21st report, Samsung is expected to launch the next generation of Galaxy Z Fold 5 / Z Flip 5 foldable smartphones to the public earlier than expected. The official release date is yet to be determined. However, some indications suggest that Samsung will unveil the new foldable devices one month earlier than usual.
Reportedly, Samsung will begin mass-producing the hinges of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 in early June. In the past, Samsung typically started hinge production at the end of June. Samsung plans to release new foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5, at the end of July. Revegnus revealed this information due to earlier hinge production.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 will use a different type of hinge that allows the phone to fold completely flat without leaving any small gaps between the “halves” of the screen. Samsung may require more time to manufacture the new hinge design.
