On April 13th, Gizcoupon reported that the Xiaomi POCO F5 series of phones is expected to debut in the global market soon. The memory, storage, and color options of the new phones have now been exposed.
Sources speculate that only the POCO F5 may debut in India, while the POCO F5 Pro will be available globally. This phone will be the successor to the POCO F4 5G that has already been released in India.
According to leaker Paras Guglani, the POCO F5 will be available in blue, black, and white colors. However, the POCO F5 Pro will come in black and white.
Xiaomi POCO F5 / Pro specifications
In addition, the POCO F5 and POCO F5 Pro are expected to offer two configurations: 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB storage.
Both the Xiaomi POCO F5 series will feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a punch-hole design. The standard POCO F5 is planned to come with an FHD+ display and side-mounted fingerprint recognition. The F5 Pro model will have a QHD+ resolution and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
The POCO F5 will be powered by the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chip, compared to the Snapdragon 870 in the POCO F4. The POCO F5 Pro will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip, along with LPDDR5 memory and UFS 3.1 flash storage. Both phones will support 67W fast charging.
In terms of optics, the POCO F5 will feature a 64MP main camera (with OIS optical image stabilization). Moreover, it has an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro lens. There will also be a 16MP front-facing camera for selfies and video chats.
The POCO F5 will be equipped with a 5000mAh battery. The POCO F5 Pro will have a larger 5500mAh battery. Both models will come pre-installed with MIUI 14, based on Android 13.
