Xiaomi Mi 13 with the narrowest chin coming to India soon

The Xiaomi Mi 13 and the Pro variant are rumored to come on December 10. Although the original launch date was pushed back, we have no confidence that Xiaomi will keep its word. Anyway, we know that the Pro will be the highest-end version in the series. But when the Mi 13 Ultra comes next year, it will yield its positions to it. We also know that the Mi 13 Pro will land in India too. Today, we learned that the latter had been certified by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website and is expected to appear on the shelves soon.

The global version model of the Mi 13 Pro is 2210132G. We have tracked the latter and found it on the Malaysian SIRIM website. As a reminder, Xiaomi has not yet confirmed the launch date of the global version of the Mi 13 series. But in India, the Mi 13 Pro may launch in the first half of 2023.

Key specs of Xiaomi Mi 13

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip will power the Mi 13 series. But if the vanilla variant is going to sport a straight screen, the Pro version will have a curved screen. Though straight screens look ideal, they are not comfortable to hold. But it seems Xiaomi has done enormous work. When saying this, we mean the borders around the display. All sides are assumed to have almost equal widths. The chin of Mi 13 is only 1.81mm, the left and right borders and the upper border are 1.61mm, and the screen-to-body ratio reaches 93.3%. Thus, this phone can beat the iPhone 14 in terms of design.

It is worth noting that although it has a straight screen design, the Xiaomi Mi 13 has an additional 2.5D glass back shell, which is lacking on the iPhone 14. So it will make the hand feel significantly better and will not cut hands like the iPhone 14.

Differences between the vanilla and the Pro versions

Other selling points of the Mi 13 Pro will be the 50-megapixel Sony IMX989 1-inch sensor and a 75mm Leica telephoto lens. The phone will feature a 50-megapixel Samsung JN1 sensor for the telephoto camera and a 50-megapixel Samsung JN1 sensor for the ultra-wide-angle lens.

On the front, our protagonist will carry a 6.73-inch OLED 120Hz display with a resolution of 2K. The phone may also feature a 4820mAh battery with support for 120W wired, 50W wireless, and 10W reverse wireless charging.

On the other hand, the Mi 13 Standard Edition will feature a 6.3-inch Full HD+ OLED display. The latter will boast a refresh rate of 120Hz.

There will be three rear cameras on the rear, including a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 10-megapixel telephoto lens. For the selfie camera, both phones will use a 32-megapixel lens. The standard edition will be equipped with a 4500mAh battery that supports 67W wired fast charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging.

Both the Mi 13 and Mi 13 Pro will run the latest MIUI 14 system based on Android 13.
