Xiaomi Mi 12 Ultra Camera
However, the biggest highlight of the smartphone ought to be the camera. Prior to this, we learned that the Xiaomi Mi 12 Ultra will use a camera jointly developed by Xiaomi and Leica. Yes, this is the same company that has been cooperating with Huawei before the bans and sanctions. The Xiaomi Mi series flagships (the Ultra models) have always been known for their strong camera capabilities. And we believe, due to this cooperation, the Mi 12 Ultra will have no equals on the market and will lead DXo’s list.
Well, as for concrete parameters, the Xiaomi Mi 12 Ultra will carry a triple camera on the rear. The latter will include a super-bottom main camera sensor, an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a periscope telephoto lens. We guess the camera will support OIS (optical image stabilization). At the same time, the camera will get a Leica imaging algorithm blessing, making it record 8K movies. Plus, it will support Master Leica video filters, Leica natural color and black and white filters, and more.
Under the hood, the smartphone will host the latest generation Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 flagship processor. As you know, this chip uses TSMC’s 4nm process. Compared with Samsung’s 4nm process, it has a higher yield rate and better power consumption control. Specifically, the maximum frequency of the Cortex-X2 super core of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1’s CPU reaches to 3.2GHz.
The machine will debut in July.
