Xiaomi SU7 Delivery Times Delays: Wait Extended to Up to 6 Months

After its launch, the popularity of Xiaomi SU7 continued to soar. The Xiaomi Automobile app has extended delivery times for all three versions – Standard, Pro, and Max. The quickest delivery is now 13 weeks, while the longest is 27 weeks.

The Standard version typically delivers within 13-16 weeks once the order. The Pro version, however, is expected to deliver in 16-19 weeks. The Max version, on the other hand, requires 24-27 weeks for delivery. In other words, ordering the Max version now means waiting at least 6 months for delivery.

Starting from the end of April, deliveries will gradually commence for the Standard and Max versions of Xiaomi SU7. Additionally, the Pro version will begin deliveries by the end of the month. The Founders Edition is available immediately and deliveries officially started on April 3rd.

Xiaomi reminds customers that they can cancel their Xiaomi SU7 orders within 7 days. However, they also offer the option to actively lock configurations. Once the configuration locks, it finalizes the order, preventing any further modifications. At this point, the deposit becomes non-refundable.

As of noon on March 29th, Xiaomi’s customer service system has received a total of 469 requests for order cancellations or modifications.

In the Xiaomi Automobile app’s purchasing process, there are three reminders about the non-refundable nature of actively locking orders, with a direct pop-up reminder during the final “configuration lock.”

Xiaomi Automobile official announcement states that within 24 hours of its launch, orders for Xiaomi SU7 exceeded 88,898 units. Xiaomi Automobile factory is divided into two phases, as per plans. The first phase covers an area of approximately 720,000 square meters with an annual production capacity of 150,000 vehicles, completed in June 2023. The second phase will begin in 2024 and conclude in 2025.
