Apple has officially launched the 2024 MacBook Air, with a starting price of 8,999 yuan (about $1,250).
According to Apple’s official statement, the overall operating performance of the new MacBook Air has seen a notable 60% improvement compared to the previous M1 chip version. This includes new rendering functions like hardware-accelerated ray tracing and mesh shading. The M3 chip is also compatible with various codecs, such as H.264, HEVC, ProRes, ProRes RAW, and AV1.
Despite these advancements, the new MacBook Air maintains its narrow bezel design and notch screen solution. The new MacBook Air comes with a 13.6-inch/15.3-inch Liquid Retina display. Regarding color options, the new MacBook Air comes in four choices: silver, space gray, gold, and midnight. It is packaged with a MagSafe magnetic charging cable matching its color. Additionally, both models feature a sleek and stylish design, fanless architecture, and an impressive 18-hour battery life.
The 13-inch MacBook Air with the M3 chip begins at 8999 yuan (about $1,250). Transitioning to the 15-inch model, it is priced at 10499 yuan (about $1,460). You also have the choice to upgrade to a maximum configuration of 24GB+2TB.
