Honor X9b Released in HK: Snapdragon 6 Gen 1, Priced at HKD 2,299

Honor launched its smartphone in Hong Kong today. The phone is called Honor X9b and features Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC with 8GB RAM + 256GB storage.

The Honor X9b currently operates on Android 13. Moreover, Honor promises two years of Android OS upgrades and three years of security updates for the X9b.

It has a 6.78-inch 120Hz 1.5K curved AMOLED display, reaching a maximum brightness of 1,200 nits. Honor calls it the “super resilient drop display” due to its shock-absorbing materials, forming a protective structure with a drop resistance of up to 1.5m.

The display includes a center punch-hole for a 16MP camera and a fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication. On the back, there’s a circular island housing three cameras – a 108MP main camera, 5MP ultra-wide (110° FOV), and a 2MP macro camera. The Sunset Orange variant features an eco-friendly vegan leather back for sustainable development.

The Honor X9b boasts an IP53 protection rating. It features a 5,800mAh battery that supports 35W charging. The retail box does not include a power adapter, but as an introductory offer, the company will remove the charger from the packaging at no extra cost, and people can buy it separately after the release. The Honor X9b will be available in Hong Kong in Sunrise Orange and Midnight Black colors, officially priced at HKD 2,299 but currently $294.
