By incorporating an electrochromic lens within the eyewear, with the lens electrodes connected to the frame via the metal spring clips. Moreover, the voltage can be applied to the lens to control its light transmission based on the brightness of the surrounding environment and the user’s preferences. This allows for enhanced display effects of the display module, resulting in an improved user experience.

Xiaomi has also disclosed another eyewear patent that focuses on controlling the light transmission of the lens. The patent has a display module and an electrochromic lens that covers its front. An ambient light sensor connects to an electrochromic lens. A sensor control board connects to the ambient light sensor. Additionally, a main board with a processor connects to the sensor control board.

By integrating an electrochromic lens within the eyewear and connecting it to the ambient light sensor. The processor can control the voltage applied to the electrochromic lens based on the ambient brightness and user preferences. This allows for improved display effects of the display module, thereby enhancing the overall user experience.
