Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Series Will Launch In The Second Half of This Year

Gizcoupon reported on April 21st that Samsung is set to unveil four new gadgets in the second half of 2023. Samsung is expected to release two models of the Galaxy Watch 6 series along with the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 foldable phones. The upcoming smartwatches will come with enhanced health tracking and other improved features.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 series

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 series will be powered by an updated Exynos processor – Exynos W980. It is expected to be over 10% faster than the Exynos W920 chip used in the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 5 series, according to SamMobile. The chip is likely to be manufactured using Samsung’s updated 5nm process, which could also improve battery life.

The Galaxy Watch 6 will feature a larger, high-resolution screen. Additionally, the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic will bring back Samsung’s signature rotating bezel, along with a thinner bezel. Moreover, it will have a slightly higher capacity battery than previous generations.

The circular OLED touch screen of the Galaxy Watch 6 series will come with several features. For example, ECG, GPS, heart rate sensor, sleep tracking, body composition analysis, and health and fitness tracking. The watches will also have Wi-Fi, cellular connectivity, NFC, and wireless charging. Furthermore, it will run on the latest version of Wear OS called One UI Watch.
