According to the latest report from market research firm Counterpoint Research, global personal computer (PC) shipments in the first quarter of 2023 reached 56.7 million units, representing a 28% year-on-year decline. This marks the lowest first-quarter shipment volume in the past 10 years.
The report indicates that PC manufacturers are still destocking, but analysts expect a significant improvement in the second quarter of 2023. Experts project that the demand for PCs will gradually recover in the second half of 2023, and they estimate a double-digit decline in full-year shipments.
In terms of brand segmentation, Lenovo remains the largest PC supplier in the world in the first quarter of 2023, with a shipment volume of 12.8 million units and a market share of 23%.
