Not long ago, Xiaomi launched the mi 13 series in China. The series includes two high-end models, the vanilla variant and the Pro model. So that’s logical that the company is preparing a new flagship phone that should come our way from its second brand, Redmi. We know that the Redmi K60 will be released soon. The lineup will include three models: K60, K60 Pro, and K60E. As you can see, the Gaming edition is still missing. By the way, the Redmi K60E will sport a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC. This is official.
If everything goes according to plans, the Redmi K60 series will come in January 2023. It will be launched in China first. This is what we knew before. But it turns out the launch might take place sooner than expected.
The latest report suggests that the Redmi K60 line handsets might appear on the shelves as soon as this month. Though there is still no official statement, we are waiting for it to happen as soon as possible.
Apart from this, the source claims that the Redmi K60E will be the follow-up model to the Redmi K50, while the K60 will be the successor of the K50 Pro. Finally, the K60 Pro will be a successor to the K50 Gaming.
Among them, at least one model will come with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. We think it will be the vanilla variant. At the same time, the K60 Pro will feature the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip, and the Redmi K60E, as said above, will feature a Dimensity 8200 SoC.
As for the rest of the features, the K60 5G will come with a 6.67-inch 2K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Its 5500mAh battery will support 67W fast charging as well as 30W wireless charging. Thus, it will become the first Redmi smartphone to come with wireless charging support. On the other hand, the K60 Pro will support 120W wired fast charging and 30W wireless charging. The K60E will support only 67W wired charging.
In terms of photography, the upcoming Redmi K60 5G will sport a 50MP triple-camera setup on the back. Another model in the series will come with a 64MP triple-camera. The main sensor will also be accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide lens and a 2MP macro sensor. On the front, however, both will carry a 16MP selfie shooter.
