The Eachine EV800DM Goggles in the upgraded version of the famous EV800 with better functions. The “D” letter in the name stands for diversity receiver. Thus, there are two virtual receivers inside the goggles. In addition, these two virtual receivers automatically switch between each other. To understand the logic, imagine that a phone has two SIM cards from various operators. For a concrete moment, one of them is capable of providing stronger network connectivity. So you will switch to it. And once the other SIM card shows a better antenna, you can switch back. The same happens to these goggles.

In general, the goggle is comfortable to wear on the face light. However, a little foam to block out the leakage from the nose will make the wearing experience even more comfortable and enjoyable. On the front, there are the buttons for the OSD and the menu screen. There is not difficult to reach out for the buttons while wearing them on your face. It is also worth mentioning, that at first, it can be a bit hard to operate with the buttons smoothly and it needs some practice. A minor disadvantage of the goggles is the use of 2.5mm connectors. It is disappointing considering the fact that you cannot use your laptop charger to charge the Eachine EV800DM Goggles.
The Eachine EV800DM serves 2 purposes. It is both a goggle and a ground station. It is also worth noting that as a ground station, you can mount it on a tripod stand. There is a 6mm hole on the bottom of the goggle, which is used to attach it to the stand. Moreover, it gives others some action of FPV. In addition, the display is enough to deliver good visibility outdoors.
What makes the EV800D stand out in the market is the DVR (digital video recording). It gives an opportunity to record everything that the goggles display on the screen. So, it makes the recording process easier. On the other hand, the DVR feature makes you not need an HD recording device on the drone thus decreasing the weight of the drone.
